Forza Horizon 4 Guide and Tips For Game
This section of the Forza Horizon 4 walkthrough describes all kinds of races and game modes. Below, you can find a list of all series of races, Horizon stories, and additional activities available on the map along with a handful of additional tips.
Forza Horizon 4 features four main racing series that offer one of the two types of competition: the sprint from point A to point B or completing several laps on a particular track. Each type of activity has its own progression bar with consecutive levels. Unlocking these levels allows you to participate in new challenges available on the map. In the later stage of the game, you will unlock the 1/4 mile Drag strips (that take place on several special tracks) and showcase races.

You can participate in most of them by driving any car, however, some cars handle much better on asphalt roads, while others are better for off-road tracks. In both sprints and laps, you have to pass through checkpoints. Missing a checkpoint results in a large loss of time – you either turn around to pass the checkpoint or the game teleports you in front of a missed checkpoint. When this happens, use the rewind race option (unless you turned it off in the game’s options menu).
You do not have to win a race, nor reach the finish line as one of the first three participants. Completing races on farther positions extends the time necessary to unlock new levels only a bit which also means that you will need more time to unlock new races.
When playing the Horizon Life online mode, you can complete each race in the cooperative mode in which together with other players you get points for each AI-controlled opponent that you outrun (a team with the most points wins). Moreover, you can race against other players only, without AI-controlled Drivatars’ cars.

Each organized race can be modified to fit your preferences by changing the limitations of particular car class or brand, season, time of a day, and the number of laps.
Races that can be played solo or in cooperation with other players, called “wish list” in the previous installment, are now called Horizon story. It is a series of challenges with a small doze of plot – players assume a role or become the owner of a company and earn credits.
In order to complete these challenges and earn 1 to 3 stars, you have to meet particular time, points and speed requirements. If you want to see the requirements for each star select the “any chapter” option instead of choosing the next one.

General advice :
+ After the prologue is completed, one season of the year on the server lasts one week. You have no influence on how to speed up the change of season;
+ Perks are won individually for each of the cars owned by you. Frequent use of one model will allow you to quickly max out its bonuses in the form of, for example, more points scored, or additional prize draws;
+ If you made a mistake at a key moment, you can always use the time scrolling option, unless you have disabled it in the following settings;
+ If you need quick credits, enter an earlier drawn or unnecessary cars for auctions, where they can be sold quickly. Check auctions quite often to find interesting opportunities for yourself.
+ Use your roadside assistant Anna. Without entering the map mode, you can quickly find your way to the nearest activity you are interested in;
+ Upgrade your vehicle with tuning parts to improve your vehicle’s acceleration and handling statistics. This will make it easier for you to squeeze through your opponents’ peloton, as you always start from the middle or at the end of the stakes;
+ In most races, it doesn’t matter how well you drive an upgraded car (same goes for the type of car). Your opponents always adapt to the class of vehicle you are starting in;
+ If you want to see the requirement to get three stars for tasks in Horizon Stories mode, use the option “choose any chapter”;
+ Avoid jumping ramps during the race, if possible. Jumping is spectacular, but it will always slow you down a little;
+ Don’t worry about leaving the route. Nearly all objects are being destroyed, and the water reservoirs are shallow and allow you to pass through;
+ In addition to driving, take photos in photo mode and create your bodywork in the editor. For these activities you will also be promoted and gain the opportunity to win more prizes;
+ Any difficulty selected in the driving options results in an increase of credits received from 5 to 15 per cent;
+ Play Horizon Life online mode instead of Horizon Solo. Other players won’t bother you, and you’ll always have the opportunity to earn extra Forzathon points and access to additional races in cooperation mode;
+ Take part in Forzathon Live public events when you are notified of them. Complete each to get 30 Forzathon points;
+The Forzathon store’s offer changes every week with the arrival of the new season of the year;
